So, this is the first time that I’ve used a static blog. With any luck I’ll be able to keep track of my trials and tribulations with my home network and homelab. Today, I finally got all of my hosted services on a DMZ network, hosted on my ESX server. The idea is that I can still connect to my self-hosted stuff, but the hosts for these services cannot connect to my home LAN.
So, the idea for this blog was originally put forward by my friend Clint Veasey. I provide him with hosting, and he suggested that I keep track of the changes I make with a blog. It’s not interesting reading, but it serves as a way for me to document what I’ve done. Plus, if I come up with an ingenious workaround to a problem, I’ll be able to find it again with this blog’s tagging feature.
